Mazoon College Library
Keeping in view, vision and mission of the College the Library had tried to maintain the perspective view of our users. The Library acts as the main Learning Resource Centre of Excellence in the field of English, Information Technology, Management and Applied Sciences.
The Library located in the second floor of the building with a capacity of 100 users at a time. It's been managed by a qualified Staff members. Also it is being fully automated including Barcode Technology by using “VIDYA: A LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE” which is easy to use. The users can access library data through OPAC. The Collection of this Library is more than 7500 volumes including, Books, Govt. Reports, Project Reports and Non-Book material. The Library is also subscribing with more than 15 Journals/Magazines on National and International Level. And an e-Library “infotrac” that provides the needed articles, e-book and …etc.

LIBRARY SERVICES:
The Library will provide the under mentioned services through the system:

2. Monthly List of New Arrivals.
3. Issue and Return Through System.
4. Inter Library Loan (Resource Sharing with Other Libraries.
5. Bibliographical Service (On Demand)
FACILITIES:
1. FACULTY MEMBERS: A provision is being made for faculty members in a separate space to do their research work / to prepare their study notes etc.
2. OTHER STUDENTS: There are 18 systems units installed in the library exclusively for the users to access Internet and to make their Project Reports.
3. RESOURCE SHARING FACILITY:Due to explosion of literature, no library is a rich and self sufficient, we have to spare our resources and share other resources. Keeping in mind the objective of Resource Sharing, efforts are being made to make this service stronger among the various libraries in and around Oman so that maximum libraries could be benefited.
4. ON-LINE PUBLIC ACCESS CATALOGUE (OPAC):Efforts are being made to make this library fully automated with latest technology of barcode system. Faculty Members / Staff Members and Students would be able to access library Data by using OPAC by Author, Title, Keywords and subject.
5. ONLINE DATABASE:Mzoon College Library subscribed online database “Infotrac Onefile” It is include following Subject Areas : I. Arts, II. Business and Industry III. Communication IV. Health care V. History VI. Agriculture VII. Engineering. It is having 11000 + Journals out of which 6000 + are full text.
ISSUE & RETURN:
The library users are of different categories. The library has assigned the period of lending documents to users for different period.
Faculty members can borrow up to 15 books from the library. Magazines for a period of two week only.Reference books and current journals/magazines would not be issued to the faculty and other users.
Students can borrow up to 3 books for two weeks. Moreover, they can borrow 2 back issues of the magazines for one week only.
Staff of the Mazoon College can borrow 5 books from the library for the period of two weeks. They are entitled to borrow one back issue of the magazine for one Week.

The timings of the library are:Saturday to Wednesday 8.00 AM to 7.00 PM
